Christian Ward, our managing director, founded Collins Ward in 2006. He qualified in 1999 at Nationwide Building Society, moving to a financial consulting role at Moore Stephens, a top 20 international accountancy practice, in 2001. At Moore Stephens he introduced modern analytical techniques to the financial planning process and was integral to the launch of their investment consulting service. He led the way in professional achievement and was the first Moore Stephens practitioner nationally to become a Fellow of the Society of Financial Advisers (now Fellow of the Personal Finance Society) in 2004. He is an Associate of the Institute of Financial Planning and a Member of the Securities and Investment Institute. He attained Chartered Financial Planner status when it was first introduced in 2006, is a Certified Financial Planner and also holds the investment management certificate (IMC) from the United Kingdom Society of Investment Professionals.

Christian believes passionately in the value of financial planning, and is one of the leading proponents of providing an investment management service which is structured around the achievement of client goals, a concept which is rarely followed in traditional investment management firms. He is also fully committed to raising the standard of financial and investment advice in the UK.
